Mission

The mission of Africa Health Information Channel is to produce health programs for various mass media to educate the public on common preventable diseases that burden Africa, and provide a platform for health professionals in Africa to share timely and relevant health news, information and research findings. This will ensure that health professionals deliver quality services to those they serve.

Purpose and Goals

The purpose and goals of Africa Health Information Channel are:

1. To provide the organizations working in Africa and other parts of the world with channels of communication to disseminate information to and from the local level.
2. To emphasize the benefits of continuing education; collective information; knowledge; standards; and stimulation and support to health professionals across the continent.
   
3. To train health professionals on basic Information ,Communication and Technology(ICT) skills .This will enable most of them to use various internet portals in accessing relevant and current health information thus complementing existing CME/CPD programs, entering & using data in the provision of health care services ,enrolling in online training courses and eventually allowing most of the African governments to adopt e-health .

 
Non-Profit Status

Africa health Information Channel is registered in Kenya as not-for-profit, Non-governmental organization .It was duly registered on June 2007 by the Kenyan government and looks forward to spreading its work and projects to other African countries in the near future.
